1. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, password (stored encrypted), time zone and preferred language.

Service usage: booked lessons, lesson history and messages exchanged within the platform.

Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — they are handled directly by Stripe.

Google sign-in (optional): if you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address and profile picture associated with your Google Account.

2. How we use your data

Create and maintain your account and authenticate your access.

Schedule lessons, show times in your time zone and enable the lesson with your teacher.

Process payments and pay teachers through Stripe.

Send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, confirmations).

Ensure security, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

3. Google sign-in

When you use “Sign in with Google”, we receive only the basic profile information (name, email and picture) needed to create and identify your account.

Our use of this information follows Google’s Privacy Policy and the Google API Services Limited Use requirements. We do not use this data for purposes unrelated to running Parlary.

You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings.

4. Data sharing

Stripe — payment processing and teacher payouts.

Resend — transactional email delivery.

Vercel — application hosting.

Teachers — receive the data needed (such as your name) to run the lesson you booked.

We do not sell your personal data. Sharing happens only to operate the service or to comply with the law.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep your session authenticated and remember your language. Without them, sign-in does not work.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and contractual obligations. After that, data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Under the LGPD (Brazil) and, where applicable, the GDPR (EU), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability and the withdrawal of consent regarding your data.

8. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password encryption and secure connections. No system is fully immune, but we work to reduce risk.

9. Minors

The platform is not intended for anyone under 18 without the consent and supervision of a legal guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform or by email.
